Quarry Operations

Extensive core drilling, on ranchland in 1990, revealed a limestone deposit stretching 12 miles long and 3 miles wide. West Texas weather allows us to quarry throughout the year, providing us with a large inventory of blocks.

The limestone sits on the surface, so there is no overburden to remove before starting to saw.
The W. F. Meyers saw cuts vertical slots 10' deep and 8' horizontal wide into the stone.

The blocks are then pushed over with a quarry rack and split with feathers and wedges to produce a standard size block of 8' x 5' x 5'.
